My Fellow Nigerian "How are you doing?"

A lirru check in plus some tips

Hey YellowLyfer!

It’s been more than a minute! I’ve missed you guys! The voice you are reading is the voice of the original Tolu of YellowLyfe 😂.

How have you been for real?!

As I write to you from a certain part of planet earth called Nigeria, such a question becomes pertinent. Nigerians across all levels in this community can relate (Lol. E touch all of us)

For those of you on this community oblivious to the drastic change that has happened, let me break it to you - our beloved Subsidy is gone! Petrol/PMS/Fuel is now at least #500 Naira per liter from #165 per liter! This up to 3 times increase and is something that needs to be talked about. Because… I cannot be the only one affected.

What can this baby girl do though? As the saying goes “we meevve”. We keep moving and adapting to the changes we face.

As your fellow comrade, let me share a few practical ways to adapt:

* Switch to Leggy Benz

We’re going back to the where it all started. With ride-hailing apps on a rampage, we almost have no choice. For short distance, dress comfortably and leg it. It is good for your health

* Exhaust all options

Check prices on multiple apps, negotiate off-app for trips, ride sharing is now an option to consider, hitch a ride. Omoh if push comes to shove, use public transportation. This is the era we are in but we do what? - we meeve.

* Stay in your house

If you can afford to, reduce your up and down movement and stay in your house. Plan your trips and movement for the week. If you can, switch to working remotely.

For all ye ritualists, unbothered by the fuel increase, living grand and large, abeg come show us the way! Lol😂

PS: I’ve missed my fans and OGs on this email community. Do write back and tell me what you have been up to , how you have been coping this period and generally whatever. I look forward to reading from you.

PPS: I’ll do my best to start writing to you more often.

Love and Light

Tolu from YellowLyfe
